The SmallBizDev Hackathon in San Francisco is a two-day event bringing together designers, developers, entrepreneurs, and innovators to build mobile apps that boost the financial success of small business owners. We are offering a $20,000 prize purse: a $10K grand prize and two $5K runner up prizes. Grand prize winners will also get a chance to demo their app in front of a panel of technology and financial services experts at the SmallBizDev culminating event later this year. Plus, ALL attendees will receive 6 months of FREE access to General Assembly’s Front Row. And, thanks to a grant by Capital One, participants will also receive a $50 promo code to lend to small businesses through Kiva.

Don’t know much about small business? Don’t worry. We’ve got resources to get you started. And, on the day of, we’ll walk you through the market, highlighting the obstacles small businesses are wrestling with.

We’ll also offer on-site experts, technical resources, and small business owners offering real-time user feedback to help you and your team build an app with the potential for big impact.
