The Financial Innovations Center, Inc., d/b/a the Center for Financial Services Innovation (“CFSI”) and D2D Fund, Inc. (“D2D”) (collectively, the “Administrators,” “we”, or “us”) operate (our “Website”).  This SmallBizDev Hackathons Website Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) describes the information collection and disclosure practices of our Website.

We may share personal information with third parties where disclosure is necessary for the Administrators to effectively operate and manage the Hackathons.  We may outsource some or all of these tasks and disclose personal information about you to third parties, provided the use and disclosure of your personal information by these third parties is restricted to performance of such tasks.

Internal Analysis and Operations.  We may share personal information with third-party vendors and web developers who assist us in performing internal functions necessary to operate our business, including but not limited to development and maintenance of our Website.  For example, the Administrators may disclose your personal information to a service provider in connection with the provision of IT or other support services.  We require our third party vendors to keep such information confidential and to only use the information as necessary and for the purpose it was provided.

Compliance with Law; Enforcement of Policies.  We may disclose any content, records or electronic communication of any kind (including without limitation personal information or the content of any “Contact Us” messages received from you): (i) to satisfy any law, regulation, or government request; (ii) if such disclosure is necessary to operate our business; or (iii) to protect the rights, property or safety of  the Administrators or their users, sponsors, providers, licensors or merchants, which may include the enforcement of the Terms of Service, this Privacy Policy or any other policies or agreements.

Business Transfers.  Like any other business, we could merge with or be acquired by another company.  If this occurs, the successor company would acquire the information we maintain, including personal information.  However, personal information would remain subject to this Privacy Policy.


Non-Personally Identifiable Information.

We may collect non-personally identifiable information when you visit our Website, such as the pages accessed, the referring page that linked you to us, and the date and time of visits.  The Administrators and/or our authorized third-party service providers may automatically collect this information when you visit our Website through the use of electronic tools like cookies.

We use this non-personally identifiable information to provide you with an improved service when you revisit our Website, to better understand the behavior and preferences of users of our Website, to troubleshoot technical problems, to enforce this Privacy Policy and Terms of Use, to ensure proper functioning of our Website, comply with applicable law and cooperate with law enforcement activities.

Website data (including personal information) is transferred to and stored on servers located in the United States of America, and operated and processed by the Administrators or their service providers.  We will take commercially reasonable steps to protect your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

The Administrators use a range of security measures to protect the confidentiality and security of the personal information we collect online.  However, no data transmission over the internet is completely secure.  While we endeavor to protect such information, we cannot guarantee or warrant the security of any personal information transmitted to us, and individuals do so at their own risk.



The Administrators do not take affirmative steps to confirm the accuracy of the information you provide us.  Please contact us at should your personal information change so that we can update our records.  You may also modify, correct, change or update your personal information or cause your personal information to be removed from our database by request via email to



We do not intend, and this Website is not designed, to collect personal information from children under the age of fourteen (14).  If you are under fourteen (14) years old, you should not use our Website or otherwise provide information through our Website.

The Administrators reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy.  If we make any material changes, we will notify you by means of a notice on our Website prior to the change becoming effective.  Your use of our Website after such notification shall constitute your acceptance of the terms of the revised Privacy Policy.

If your reside outside the United States, please be advised that this Privacy Policy is intended to comply with the laws and regulations of the United States, which may not be the same as the laws of your home country.  By using our Website, you agree that any personal information which you provide will be treated in accordance with the laws of the United States.
